Latin music

Music that has the representative sound and style of the native music from Latin American (and Caribbean) countries containing strong African influences. These are all countries that have Latin-derived languages. Latin music (or Latin American music ) is a very broad and inclusive term, and tends to be dance music. It would include such popular styles as the bossa-nova, cha-cha, merengue, reggae, rhumba, salsa, samba, tango, and others.
